About Us

Monnow Marquees is a highly professional family run marquee hire business based in Monmouth, South Wales.

They have been providing top quality marquees for events and weddings since 2002 and have gained an excellent reputation for providing a complete marquee hire service in east Wales and the south west of England.

Monnow Marquees is owned and managed by brothers Alan and John Powell. They are ably assisted by Vicky Powell (Alan’s wife) and this successful family team take great pride in the fact that Monnow Marquees is recommended time and time again by their past clients.

Alan and John are both responsible for site visits and recommendations, marquee erection and removal and oversee all the marquee maintenance. Monnow Marquees are able to provide steel floor constructions for awkward or sloping sites, enabling you to have a marquee in places you never thought would be possible! Between them they ensure that the marquees they hire are in pristine condition, beautifully presented and expertly maintained for every function, event and occasion.

Vicky Powell will usually be your first point of contact and she will answer all your preliminary queries regarding marquee hire for your event. Vicky will offer advice about the appropriate size of your marquee in relation to the number of guests, visitors or delegates, location choices, and discuss marquee hire costs. She will also arrange a free site visit at your venue location to discuss your event requirements.

Once you have contacted Monnow Marquees, Vicky will also be able to advise you on any finishing touches required to make your event a success. This may include hire of tables, chairs, linen, glassware, crockery and cutlery, drapes, themed décor, bar services and relaxation areas including sofas, occasional tables and furniture.

You may also have contact with Percy Powell, the senior consultant of this well known family firm. Percy is Alan and John's father and has an active interest in Monnow Marquees.

Monnow Marquees have excellent relationships with other event hire services such as hotels and private venues, caterers, bar services, florists, photographers, entertainers, musicians and bands, etc. Vicky will be happy to provide more information if you wish.
