Monnow Marquees are specialists when it comes to dealing with all kinds of site locations including sloping sites and uneven ground.


Most marquee companies can provide marquees for level sites but at Monnow Marquees we can erect one of our award winning marques on a sloping lawn or field using our innovative steel sub-framed flooring system.

This opens up more opportunities for event organisers and individuals who want to hold their wedding or special event on their own land or on a site where the landscape is uneven.

Since the entire system is modular, we can design for any space and, by using incorporated jacks, compensate for quite dramatic variations in site conditions. Interlocking timber panels within an aluminium framework are laid onto the steel sub-frame, or directly onto level surfaces, giving a robust, flat area onto which we generally recommend carpet being laid.

You can also choose from around 40 different carpet colours to co-ordinate a theme.

The construction of our steel sub frame flooring is clean and quick, greatly reducing on-site work - a particular advantage in inclement weather.

1. The provision of a steel sub-frame for one of our marquees has the following conditions:

2. A free site survey attended by our partner Alan Powell prior to quotation being produced

3. 9m marquee equipment with 3m bays built on top of the flooring system supplied

4. If grassed, site to be mowed prior to arrival of steel sub-frame allowing erection to be completed without delay

As the steel flooring is elevated on its completion, it can allow for low walled garden areas, uneven pathways, and even stepped areas.

All this will enable you to have the event that you had wished for within one of our marquees when you thought it not possible!
