Monnow Marquees is owned and managed by brothers Alan and John Powell. The office is in Raglan, Monmouthshire and managed by Vicky Powell. This successful family team take great pride in the fact that Monnow Marquees is recommended time and time again by their clients.

Alan and John are responsible for site visits and recommendations, marquee erection and removal and oversee all the marquee maintenance. Between them they ensure that the marquees are in pristine condition, beautifully presented and expertly maintained for every function, event and occasion.

Vicky will usually be your first point of contact and she can offer advice about the appropriate size of your marquee in relation to the number of guests, visitors or delegates, location choices, and discuss marquee hire costs. She will also arrange a free site visit at your venue location to discuss your event requirements.

Once you have contacted Monnow Marquees, Vicky will also be able to advise you on any finishing touches required to make your event a success. This may include hire of tables, chairs, linen, glassware, crockery and cutlery, drapes, themed decor, bar services and relaxation areas including sofas, occasional tables and furniture.

Once you have confirmed your marquee we will introduce you to our Amanda, our Events Manager. She will organise the details of your event including sourcing special items for a bespoke event.

Whether you want to a hire a marquee for a large or small corporate event, a wedding, an exhibition, a county show or simply a ‘just-in-case’ small marquee to cater for unreliable British weather conditions, Monnow Marquees will have a marquee to suit your every event.

Nothing is too much trouble for this dedicated team who make it their business to go the extra mile in customer-care to make your event as special and successful as possible.

Our standards

Monnow Marquees is a member of MUTA the UK's only trade association dedicated to marquees, tents and structures

MUTA only accepts and endorses the best marquee hire companies. Members sign up to a Code of Practice requiring them to be legal, decent, honest and truthful. They are obliged to provide a professional standard of workmanship, to check all their own work, and to maintain public liability insurance of at least £1m.

Monnow Marquees follow MUTA's industry-leading Best Practice Guide and submit themselves to independent inspection to ensure that they continue to meet the high standards required to maintain membership of MUTA.
